The Challenge

InnoSys designs and manufactures advanced electronic devices — microelectronics, TWT amplifiers, power supplies, and subsystems — out of a specialized facility in Salt Lake City. Their production environment includes a Class 1000 Clean Room, brazing chambers, 3D ceramic printing, and precision machining. What they make is complex. How they make it is even more so.

Managing production for high-precision electronics is not a standard manufacturing problem. Each product has a multi-stage process with strict environment controls, specialized materials, and compliance requirements that can't be approximated. Running that operation without a system built for it meant relying on manual tracking — across stages, materials, and quality checkpoints — in an environment where a single error has significant downstream consequences.

Where We Started

Before any configuration began, we spent time understanding InnoSys's production workflow in detail. The Clean Room environment, the material traceability requirements, the multi-stage assembly process, and the testing and evaluation stages that every unit passes through before it leaves the facility. The system had to reflect the precision of the work — not simplify it into something unrecognizable.

Production Built for High-Precision Manufacturing

We implemented Odoo ERP around InnoSys's actual production structure — Bills of Materials defined for each product line, work orders mapped to the specific stages of their process, and routing that follows the exact sequence from raw materials through fabrication, assembly, and final test.

Every production order is traceable. Every stage has a defined checkpoint. And the data that used to live in binders and spreadsheets now lives in a system accessible to the people who need it — when they need it.

Material Traceability — From Sourcing to Shipment

Advanced materials in high-precision electronics aren't interchangeable. Lot numbers, supplier certifications, and material specifications matter — and in some applications, they're required for compliance. We built the inventory and procurement modules around that reality.

Every material that enters the facility is tracked from the moment of receipt. Lot numbers linked to production orders. Supplier documentation stored against the purchase record. And when a finished unit ships, the full material trail is accessible — from the components used to the tests it passed.

Quality and Testing — Enforced at Every Stage

InnoSys's products go through test and evaluation before they leave the facility. We built quality control checkpoints directly into the production workflow — so no unit moves to the next stage without a logged and passed inspection. Non-conformances flagged, recorded, and linked to the specific production order and batch.

For a company that competes on reliability in demanding environments, quality isn't a final step. It's embedded in every step.
